Suzanne Friedline* hails from the south,
but has had the privilege of living and working all over the world.
She is an actress and serves on the board at Actors Co-op Theatre
company right in the heart of Hollywood . When she is not being
mom to her 3-year old son Daniel, she does voice-overs, commercials,
ADR work, film and television and her long-time passion, theatre.

Film: Suzanne portrayed TV anchor “Vicky Martin”
in the popular independent film A DAY WITHOUT A MEXICAN
directed by Sergio Arau, starring Yareli Arizmendi and
Carlos Gomez. She was in the campy MURDEROUS CAMOUFLAGE,
directed by Tom Kiesche, the feature film NEWSBREAK
starring Michael Rooker, and was in the 2-part mini series ANNE
FRANK. Suzanne happily does ADR and voice match work
and recently worked on the films BATTLE IN SEATTLE, MR.
WOODCOCK, SUPERMAN II (DVD re-release), AVENGING
ANGEL, BLACK IRISH, DOMESTIC IMPORT, UNDERCOVER BROTHER,
and many other features and TV shows as voice talent.
Television:
Suzanne spoofed Anna Nicole Smith on ABC’s daytime drama
PASSIONS, and did recurring roles Natasha on
NBC's ANOTHER WORLD, and Alice Fitzpatrick on
CBS's GUIDING LIGHT.
Theatre: Suzanne has been
a member of Actors Co-op since 1998, and is also currently serving
as a Board Member on the Executive Committee. At the Co-op she
was most recently in the new movie-land musical TALES
OF TINSELTOWN playing the “statuesque stunner”
and “deliciously campy movie queen Lulu Beauveen.”
She was in THE NERD, directed by Henry Polic
II, playing the unfortunate Clelia Waldgrave. Other favorite Co-op
roles include Maria von Wedemeyer in The Co-op Too!’s production
of DIETRICH, THE LIFE OF DIETRICH BONHOEFFER
directed by Thom Babbes. She premiered the title role in FLORENCE
NIGHTINGALE: SHADOWS OF THE LAMP directed by Tim Farmer,
was the spoiled debutante in THE FOREIGNER, directed
by Henry Polic II, went on as Gay / Olga Katrina in YOU
CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, directed by Chris Hart, and Edith
in EDITH STEIN. At The Road Theatre she played
“a Valkyrie on Blades” in THE SMOKE AND ICE
FOLLIES directed by Caroline McWilliams. Also at The
Road, Suzanne played Edna, “the hooker with a heart of gold”
in the tragic Southern drama MARKED TREE directed
by John DiFusco. She played the scandalous Mrs. Cheveley in AN
IDEAL HUSBAND at The Knights Bridge in Pasadena . At
the 24th Street Theatre she originated the role of Sadie Mae in
FALLING LIGHTLY, an original piece by fellow
Co-op member Durrell Nelson, which won the "2002 Jerome Lawrence
One-Act Play Festival" here in Los Angeles . She also played
Birdie Dee at the Tamarind Theatre in AN EVENING OF HORTON
FOOTE. Professional regional theatre credits include:
Nancy in ANGEL STREET at StageWest in Massachusetts
, Melinda/Harley in Rupert Holmes' ACCOMPLICE
also at StageWest and Dolores Gonzales in the award-winning production
of THE LITTLE SISTER, directed by Meryl Friedman
at the Lifeline Theatre in Chicago . In New York she premiered
works at The Mockingbird Public Theatre, American Theatre of Actors
and Jewish Theatre of New York. She also appeared as Anita Eckberg
in A FELLINI EVENT at The Rainbow Room with Tommy
Tune.
She studied acting at Florida State
University, The Moscow Art Theatre School
in Russia , under a merit scholarship and The Goodman
School of Drama, in Chicago . Also she had the marvelous
opportunity to study with Alfred Molina at the Co-op for a 13-week
Shakespeare workshop. Consequently she has had the blessing of
working, studying and performing all over the world.
